How to make the most out of your spring

It's spring! We will (hopefully) be enjoying some nicer weather and more sunshine, along with the end of the school year. So how can we make this season count? What are some ways we can use this spring to really matter?

1. We can draw near to God.

This includes reading, studying, meditating on, and memorizing God's Word along with prayer.

2. Live a life to God. (1 Cor. 10:31)

This means surrendering to God moment by moment, living for Him EVERY day! Everything you do should be done for Him.

3. Enjoy Gods creation.

God's goodness, creativity, faithfulness, beauty, and wisdom is manifested in creation. This universe points to its great and awesome Creator! We can enjoy His beautiful creation and use it as a means to draw nearer to Him and seek to know Him more.

4. Evaluate how your spending your time.

Are you easily distracted by selfish pursuits rather than doing meaningful things for the kingdom of God? Which kingdom have you been living for and building up - God's or your own? How do you spend your time? Would you be ashamed if God asked you this? What does how you spend your time communicate about your priorities?

5. Stay connected to other believers.

It's important that we don't try to do everything on our own. God created us to first and foremost be dependant on Him. But He also gave us fellow believers so that we might run this race together! (See Hebrews 10:25 and 12:1) Staying connected to other believers is important for encouragement, accountability, and growth for both us and the other person! This is part of the reason why being part of a local church and attending it regularly is vital!
