Our faith is not about what we know . . .

In the Pilgrims progress movie (2019) Kristyn Getty says, "Our faith is not about what we know. It's about who we know."
It's not about how smart we are. Of course it's good to know what we believe and why we believe it. But where we are in our faith isn't measured by how much knowledge we have, but by how our relationship with God is.
James 4:8 says, "Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. " We need to draw near to God. We need to love Him. We need to pray every day and read our Bible to grow in our faith. If you didn't talk to someone for a long time how would your relationship be? Not very good. Well it's the same with God. If we don't pray, read the Bible, and follow Him, our relationship with God won't be very good. So:

"Read your Bible, pray everyday, and you'll grow, grow, grow!"

I want to simply encourage you today to grow. Not in the knowledge of worldly things, but in knowing God. John 17:3 tells us that eternal life is knowing God. Seek to truly, personally know your Creator. He is our Redeemer, Savior, and Friend.

May you seek to know Him today!
