Knights of Arrethtrae

My favorite fiction book series is The Knights of Arrethtrae by Chuck Black! They are so good!

What I like about them: They are easy to understand. They are an allegory of Christianity and the Bible. They are exciting & hard to put down! I am not really a reader and it can take me a long time to finish one book, but these books are so good I can finish one within 2 days!!

What I've learned from them: We need to not be lukewarm in our faith. Even if we face persecution or if others think we are weird/different we must be fully committed to Jesus! We must put on the armor of God and prepare for "battle" (spiritual battle)! If we don't think about these things, committ, and prepare, then we will never be ready to face anything for Christ! We must not seek after the pleasures of the world. We must be willing to give everything up for Christ! And  we must train ourselves in the truth! We cannot believe lies and seek our own ease and comfort! We also must pray for and help those who are suffering for Christ. (Hebrews 13:3) We must never abandon Christ or His word. We must follow His path for us, even if it is difficult! His strength and power in us enables us to do things we could never do on our own! We can trust in Him! We must not be overcome by the evil in the world, but work to overcome the evil with good! We must share and proclaim the good news of the gospel to the lost and dying world! One day evil WILL be defeated and Christ will have the victory! We must find encouragment in this, knowing we are more than conquerors in Him! (Romans 8:37) And we know that any suffering we face here on earth just test and refines us! We must rejoice in the midst of suffering because God will use it to grow us and glorify Him! (Romans 8:28)

In closing, we must train ourselves in the truth and committ ourselves to Christ! May you live for Him!

"To the King of the ages, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen." -1 Timothy 1:17

Train yourself in the truth!
