Fall Get Together Ideas

We tend to have people over a lot in the summer, but when fall comes around the corner and school starts it can get harder to plan things. In this post I hope to give you some ideas (and I hope to do some of these things this fall to!) to show hospitality and spend quality time with family, friends, and church members.

Bible Studies:
One great way to have get togethers is to join (or plan) a Bible study. They can be on weekends or week day evenings. This is a way for people to grow in their relationship with Christ together and catch up. It can be nice to get together with like-minded believers, study God's word, fellowship and pray, sing praises to God, do crafts and activities, and have snacks! I have really enjoyed being a part of a Bright Lights group this summer/fall!

Have a Family over for dinner:
Just having a simple fall dinner, like soup and bread and apple cider (and maybe even apple crisp:) and inviting a family over can be a great way to catch up with friends and spend quality time together. You don't have to plan a full day of shopping, eating out, coffee, and a spa trip for memories to be made, quality time to be spent, and Christ to be honored through your relationships. Having friends and family and people you would like to get to know better over for dinner can be a great way to catch up and talk and get to know each other. You don't have to serve an extravegent meal. Maybe even invite them over for an afternoon snack or brunch.

Go to an apple orchard:
Whether it's just your family, a church get together, or one on one time with a friend, apple orchards are a autumn classic way to spend the weekend doing something special and take time to appreciate the season. I look forward to apple orchards every year!

Coffee Dates:
Pumpkin spice! Coffee shops have wonderful fall flavors and drinks and going with friends out to coffee can be a wonderful way to smell and taste fall and talk with your friends! Who wants to refuse apple cider or pumpkin spice lattes?☕

Bonfires and Hay Rides:
Lots of people enjoy bonfires, hay rides, football parties, and game/movie nights! There's all sorts of games, activities, crafts, contest, and fun snacks you can come up with! It can be an official event with sent out invitations and lots of people or a simple one on one get together with a friend! However you like it!

Harvest Get Togethers:
You can also have a good old-fashioned Harvest gathering. You can help friends and neighbors harvest their garden/field and get the yard prepared for the cold. You can help with cleaning inside the house too! After a long, hard day of work, you can host a dance and potluck by latern outside!
There can be music and dancing and musical chairs, snacks and potluck, ect.!
