Our faith is not about what we know....

In the Pilgrims progress movie (2019) Kristyn Getty says, "Our faith is not about what we know. It's about who we know."
It's not about how smart we are. Of course it's good to know what we believe and why we believe it. Like in Proverbs it says, "Desire without knowledge is not good, and whoever makes haste with his feet misses his way."  And it's good to have knowledge about our faith and the Bible. But where we are in our faith isn't measured by how much knowledge we have, but by how our relationship with God is.
James 4 verses 7 and 8 say, "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and He will flee from you. Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. " We need to submit to God and draw near to Him. We need to love Him and love others, because He loves us "Ephesians 5:2 And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave Himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God." We need to pray every day and read our Bible to grow in our faith. If you didn't talk to someone for a long time how would your relationship be? Not very good. Well it's the same with God. If we don't pray, read the Bible, and follow Him, our relationship with God won't be very good. So:

"Read your Bible, pray everyday, and you'll grow, grow, grow!"
